The village of El Rito, one of the first Spanish settlements in New Mexico, is located on Hwy 554 with close access to Espanola, Ojo Caliente, and Abiquiu. History abounds in El Rito. San Juan Nepomucene Catholic Church, one of the first churches in NM, was restored in the 1980’s.
