The Russian punk band/activist collective, Pussy Riot will be in Santa Fe for an intimate Q&A hosted by SITE Santa Fe and the Santa Fe University of Art and Design. The event will take place May 7th at the Greer Garson Theater at the Santa Fe University of Art and Design. The discussion between Ellen Berkovitch of Adobeairstream.com and Pussy Riot founders, Nadezhda Tolokonnikova and Maria Alyokhina, will include a number of political and social topics, including gay rights.

Nadezhda Tolokonnikova and Maria Alyokhina were incarcerated for almost two years in Russia for anti-Vladimir Putin views. The group sings and advocates for feminism, LGBT rights and opposition to Vladimir Putin. They gained popularity from their guerrilla punk shows in Moscow but have since become internationally known for their activism.

Currently there are only four tickets left for purchase. SITE Santa Fe is offering $10 raffle tickets for a chance to win tickets to the event, as well as two tickets to the private dinner with Pussy Riot. There are also two tickets for $300 each for both the event and private dinner.
