You may have seen the billboard or even attended their New Years Eve party but for those of you who don’t know about Meow Wolf, it is quickly becoming the talk of the town. Meow Wolf is an arts and entertainment production company that creates immersive, multimedia experiences that transport audiences of all ages into fantastic realms of storytelling. Meow Wolf’s art experiences are like video games made real, giving the audience fictional worlds to immerse themselves in and explore.
Meow Wolf was originally organized in 2008 by Vince Kadlubek and a small group of Santa Fe artists. They have created 22 fully-immersive exhibits in 8 different cities across the United States and are locally known for their dance parties and other local art events.
Meow Wolf and George RR Martin joined forces to create The House of Eternal Return, a 20,000 square foot permanent exhibition that will take the audience into an explorable world of imagination. Visitors will choose their own path as they walk, climb, and crawl through a mysterious Victorian house full of passageways and portals that lead them to multiple parallel universes.
The Meow Wolf Art Complex will also have 19 affordable artist studios, two rotating gallery spaces, a learning center and a performance venue that will offer unique nighttime events.
The Meow Wolf Art Complex and House of Eternal Return is set to open its doors with a public opening on Friday, March 18th at 2:00pm at 1352 Rufina Circle. The opening will go from 2:00pm-2:00am. On Thursday, March 17th, Meow Wolf will host an opening night Gala reception for artists, investors, and VIP members. Tickets are available now at www.meowwolf.com/tickets.
